Edinburgh Cat Show – July 2012

O’Loan’s  JULESCOON ORINOCCO  25.10.2010

Red Silver Tabby & White Male.  A handsome young man, with glowing red tabby colours over his silver agouti background, and a most attractive tabby mask – ‘M’, spectacles and spotty whisker pads all there. The red shows off his ‘whites’.  Balanced medium length head with good tall ears, wide set, and long tufts. Faint bump on nose, shallow profile curve just a touch short, full cheeks below high cheek bones, fairly good muzzle width, and a really good deep chin. Deep pink nose leather, level bite. Large round golden eyes in slight oblique set, toning with his red colour.  Excellent body length and boning, long legs which mean there is still plenty of growing to do, and an excellent tail, absolutely full body length, very full and flowing, tapering very slightly to the tip. ‘A cat with a tail attached’. Glossy coat on back, medium length at the moment, over the undercoat, silvery under belly inside back legs,  tabby pattern not very obvious, but he is young and it is summer time. Good grooming and excellent friendly temperament complete the picture.

MAINE COON SILVER TABBY SERIES ADULT MALE
CC & BOB, O’LOAN’S JULESCOON ORINOCO, 64 41dsw, RED SILVER TABBY, 25.10.10
A very impressive lad, just eighteen months old but looking so mature already.  He has an excellent head shape, broad and medium in length with high cheek bones, fairly full cheeks and showing excellent strength to the square muzzle, firm and broad chin, level bite.  His ears are large and well positioned, with delicate tufts.  Lovely, full round pale green eyes, set obliquely and apart, alert expression.  Well grown and well structured youngster, standing on thick set limbs, with large paws and a long tail to balance with the body length.  His classic red tabby coat shows plentiful silver undertones, just needs a little more fullness as the undercoat develops, the coat is well presented.  Stylish lad, full of vim and vigour!

Northern Ireland Cat Show – June 2012

AOV SLH CHAMPION MALE
GCC, O’LOAN’S CH SUEPURFLUFIAN AMADEUS, 64 41, BROWN CLASSIC TABBY MAINE COON, 8.6.10
I really liked the look of this young man from the moment I saw him sitting regally in his double pen, watching the world go by.  When he came out, he certainly had plenty to say for himself, almost as if he was telling us we weren’t looking at his best angle as he tried to turn around to make himself more comfortable!  He has an excellent Maine Coon look, with an alert expression from full and round vivid green eyes, really looking like the capable hunter he should.  Very good length to breadth proportions to the head, high cheek bones, strong square muzzle and uniform width to nose with shallow concave curve.  If anything, his chin could be a fraction stronger, but I do not think this detracts from his excellent balance.  Long, strong and sturdy body, with muscular tones to the limbs, large paws that practically have snowshoes as tufts, a long tail to balance.  Expertly presented, plenty of undercoat and a glossy substantial top coat that was well patterned and showed rich warmth to the copper agouti ground colour with defined black markings.  Handsome lad.

Corey O'Loan Showed Julescoon Enya within the Young Exhibitors Scheme (YES).
Excellent presentation well done Corey, you showed you knew about the breed and its care. You talked about show procedure and vetting in. Next time you could do even more about the Maine Coon as a breed to make your presentation exceptional!! Keep it up. And I know you enjoyed your second stewarding today!! Corey is a wee gentleman who showed enthusiasm and fulfilled his duties to the letter  .I believe that he was given an excellent recommendation at the end of the session . I do hope that he is a “ preview “ of the future  as a G.C.C.F steward and judge.

At present he shows early promise- well done Corey!
